The Business and Corporate "Branding" Trap by Carl Neumann @ Aus Marketing

Business and corporate branding requires more than a swish logo and fancy website. It's about people's perception of your company... from the consistency of your messages, to the way you answer the phone.

Please, don't be fooled that the most important thing about your business image is your logo and how pretty your stationary looks. Forget that. I have seen the most ugliest of websites turn over hundreds of thousands of dollars a month - websites that look less appetising to the creative palette than a dog's breakfast.

The most important factor and the crest on which all stands, is your product. The first question you need to ask is:
Is my product needed and wanted? - Is there a demand for it? Are there enough people desiring it to procure enough sales to continue a profitable business?

The next question is:

Who and where are those people? - How can I easily reach these people to communicate to them how they can purchase my fine product?

This is where image or brand recognition becomes important. You see, the more attractive the communication is about the product, the more people will be interested. Then the communicated message can get across effectively.

But, always, always, always: the most important thing is the product or service!

If you already have that, then our job is to make it attractive and to communicate it to your public - and this we are able to do very well.
