When you have have narrowed your candidate pool to the best three or four don't be in a hurry to go with the first one that has the lowest price, you need to understand the bigger picture and make sure you are getting everything you want out of it and staying within your timeframe. Be explicit with your requests on what your needs are and ensure to always get everything in writing and never assume anything. Your contractor cannot read your mind and their job will be made easier and your experience less tedious if you are sure with what you expect and what they can deliver.
