Slavery surrounds my world, Freedom sounds absurd; I writhe in tremendous pain, I live in a world full of blemish and stains; I want to lead a harmonious life, But slavery surrounds me and it cuts like a knife; I want to break free like a victorious horse, And not strive hard like a deadly corpse; I will strive hard to gallop away, Then the beautiful day will arrive and I will make my own way; Slavery would sound absurd, Freedom will then surround my world!
